Converter FAQ
What exchange rate do you use?
We use 62.40 PHP per USD (updated September 28, 2026). Your bank, GCash, Maya or PayPal will use its own rate, usually 2–4% worse. Change the rate field to match your payment method.
Why add fees?
Paying in dollars usually costs extra: PayPal and cards add a currency conversion fee, and some sellers add a service fee. Adding ~3–4% gives a more realistic peso total.
Do I need to pay customs for cards shipped to the Philippines?
Shipments above the de minimis value may be charged duties and taxes by the Bureau of Customs, plus courier handling fees. Check current BOC rules before ordering big purchases.
Is it cheaper to buy from the US or locally?
For singles under about ₱500, local stores usually win once shipping is added. For expensive singles or bulk orders, US prices can be cheaper even after shipping and fees. Use this tool to compare.
