Philippines Premier Ball League 2027: January 16 at SMX Manila, register by December 10

The biggest Pokémon TCG event on the Philippine calendar now has a date and a home. The 2026–27 Philippines Premier Ball League TCG runs on Saturday, January 16, 2027, at SMX Convention Center Manila, and registration is already open on the official Pokémon Asia event pages. It closes at 12:00 AM on December 10, 2026.

It’s big: the Masters Division alone has room for 1,300 players, set against 32 players for a typical GYM Battle on the current calendar.

Which division are you in?

The event pages split players by birth date:

• Junior Division: born on or after September 1, 2015.
• Senior Division: born between September 1, 2009 and August 31, 2015.
• Masters Division: born on or before August 31, 2009.

Each division has its own event page and its own registration, so sign up for the right one.

How registration works

You register on the official Pokémon Asia site, and you need to be logged in to do it. The Masters page says entry is a lottery: signing up doesn’t guarantee a seat, and results will be announced on your My Page around December 10, the same time registration closes. Check your own division’s page for its rules.

Register well before the deadline rather than on the last night.

What to bring on January 16

The Masters page lists what players need, and it’s more than a deck:

• a valid Player ID from the Pokémon Trading Card Game Trainers Website;
• a personal identification document with your full name and photo;
• proof of residence with your full name and address (the organizer decides whether documents qualify, and official documents are preferred);
• a sleeved deck that’s legal in the Standard format, plus replacement sleeves;
• your own damage counters, Special Condition markers and a coin or dice.

Decklists are required and must be submitted by 6:00 AM on the day, three hours before play starts.

What Indonesia’s edition tells us

The Philippines isn’t the first country in the region to run a Premier Ball League this season. Indonesia’s Premier Ball League in September drew 1,384 players, according to Limitless TCG, and Dragapult decks filled more than half of its Top 32. What it means for players in the Philippines

This is the event to build your season around. A few practical steps:

1. Get a Player ID now if you don’t have one, and check your details match your ID documents.
2. Register before December 10, in the right division.
3. Get tournament practice at a GYM. There are dozens of official events every week on our PH event calendar, including GYM Battles and beginner sessions. Great Ball League Season 1 events also run at GYMs in Taguig, Quezon City, Pasig, Angeles City and Mandaue City on October 3 and 4, though registration for those has closed.
4. Watch the Standard format. The event is months away, and new sets will land before then. Keep an eye on our release calendar.
