McDonald's Pokémon Happy Meal: Pokémon lists the Philippines for January 2027, with mini box toys and TCG cards

The McDonald’s Pokémon Happy Meal is on its way to the Philippines, according to Pokémon’s listing. The Pokémon Company International’s announcement on Pokémon.com of the new McDonald’s promotion listed the Philippines among the countries getting Pokémon Happy Meals in January 2027. It didn’t give an exact date.

There’s one big caveat. PokeBeach reports that The Pokémon Company International has since deleted the announcement, presumably because the wrong McDonald’s cards were posted. PokeBeach says the cards shown were from McDonald’s 2027 set, revealed a year early. Everything below comes from the announcement as it was published on Pokémon.com, plus PokeBeach’s coverage. Until McDonald’s Philippines confirms, treat the timing as Pokémon’s listing, not a local launch date.

What’s in the McDonald’s Pokémon Happy Meal

McDonald’s x Pokémon	Details
Box	One of three Happy Meal boxes themed after Pikachu, Umbreon or Torchic
Toy	A miniature Happy Meal box-shaped toy inspired by a Pokémon, such as Pikachu, Rowlet or Sprigatito; 15 to collect
Cards	Two Pokémon TCG cards per Happy Meal, from a 15-card set
Availability	Limited time, while supplies last, at participating McDonald’s

PokeBeach adds that the plastic toys can be clipped onto backpacks or jeans, and that some countries will get 4-card booster packs. Pokémon’s announcement gives one example: in Quebec, Canada, the box toys won’t be available, and fans get a Pokémon sticker and a four-card booster pack instead.

This differs from PokeBeach’s first report. Our earlier report, based on that scoop, described 4-card packs in every Happy Meal; the announced format was two cards plus a toy. The announcement said the set includes seven foil cards, while PokeBeach’s first report said six, and with the wrong cards reportedly posted, we’re leaving the foil count open.

The McDonald’s Pokémon rollout by month

Month	Countries listed
November 2026	Australia, Canada, Fiji, France, New Zealand, Spain, United States
December 2026	43 countries, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam
January 2027	23 countries, including the Philippines and Thailand, plus much of Latin America
February 2027	Ireland, United Kingdom

In the US, PokeBeach reports the promotion starts on November 10.

What it means for players in the Philippines

The Philippines is on Pokémon’s list, so local fans shouldn’t need to rely on imports. A January slot puts us after neighbours like Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia (December), so in our view, cards and toys from those markets may show up on local resale pages first. Our advice: wait for the local launch rather than paying import prices.

Past McDonald’s promotions have drawn resellers buying Happy Meals in bulk, as our earlier report covers. If the PH launch is confirmed, buy for the kids first. We’ll update this post when McDonald’s Philippines announces a date.

Meanwhile, if you want new cards now, the Delta Reign new expansion events run at PH stores from November, and our store directory lists official shops near you.
